NIA court sentences Al-Qaeda terrorist to 7 years' RI

A special Natioal Investigating Agency (NIA) court in the city on Thursday sentenced a Bangladeshi al-Qaeda terrorist, arrested here in 2016, to seven years' rigorous imprisonment.

The NIA court convicted Samad Myan alias Samsad alias Tushar Biswas and sentenced him for being part of a plan to carry out terror activities in the city, an official said.
