Over half of the £600 energy payment vouchers for NI households have been redeemed so far.
Those who pay their electric bills by direct debit have or will receive the £600 into their bank accounts. Vouchers are being sent by post to all other customers.
If you have lost your voucher, a replacement can be reissued or other arrangements can be made by your energy supplier. The UK Government say vouchers will be valid until 31 March 2023.

If you have not received your payment or voucher, wait until the end of February to contact your supplier.
A UK Government spokesperson said: “New Post Office figures this week show over half of UK Government energy vouchers issued so far have been redeemed since the scheme launched just over a fortnight ago – meaning the majority of Northern Ireland households are benefiting from £600 energy bill support.
“If you have not received your payment or voucher, please wait until February 28 to contact your supplier as payments will continue to be made until then.
"If you have lost your voucher, your supplier can reissue it, or make other arrangements after this date.”
The voucher itself provides all the information required to successfully redeem it.
Voucher holders will need to take the voucher, the letter from their supplier issued with their voucher and proof of address to the Post Office to redeem their voucher. Proof of address needs to be dated before 2 January 2023 to be valid.
If depositing into their bank account, customers will need to take their bank card or account information with them to the Post Office. If redeeming for cash, photo ID will be required. Names will need to be consistent across all identity documents.
The UK Government say number of the acceptable forms of photographic ID are free and readily available but that they are looking into alternative routes where this is not possible for individuals.
The UK Government say the following photographic ID will be accepted:
- valid passport
- valid UK or EU / EEA photo driving licence
- Armed Forces ID card or Police Warrant card
- Northern Ireland Electoral Identity Card
- Translink SmartPass (Senior / 60+ / War Disabled / Blind Person)
- Asylum ID card
Keypad customers need to bring their keypad app or top up card, in addition to the voucher, proof of address and photo ID.
Vouchers will be valid until March 31, 2023. They can be reissued if lost, but customers are urged to redeem them as soon as possible.
No application is necessary. Suppliers will be providing vouchers automatically to all their customers.
Standard credit customers may need to take action to ensure their supplier has the correct details for the accountholder.
