NHTSA Reviews Airbag Concerns in 2011–2017 Honda Odyssey Minivans

Federal safety regulators are reviewing allegations that airbags in certain Honda Odyssey minivans may deploy when there hasn’t been a crash or another event severe enough to normally trigger them.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened defect petition DP26-005 involving model-year 2011 through 2017 Honda Odyssey vehicles after receiving a petition dated May 30, 2026.
