Extra income from the Totally Wicked Stadium being used as an NHS vaccination centre helped improve revenue at Super League champions St Helens but its losses continued to grow during its latest financial year.
Newly-filed documents with Companies House show the club's revenue increased by £1m to just under £7m in the 12 months to October 31, 2021. However, their pre-tax losses went from £1.1. to £1.6m over the same period.
St Helens said their stadium being used as a Covid-19 vaccination centre "provided much need revenue to the club at a time when other income streams were drastically reduced".
