- An NHS doctor, Dr Rahmeh Aladwan, has been charged with four counts of inviting support for Hamas, a proscribed group.
- The 31-year-old was arrested at her home in Pilning, South Gloucestershire, on Thursday morning.
- The charges under the Terrorism Act 2000 relate to online comments or material posted between 23 July and 31 December last year.
- Dr Aladwan also faces a charge under the Public Order Act 1986 for publishing material with intent to stir up racial hatred.
- She was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
