NEW DELHI: The Los Angeles Kings secured a 6-3 victory over the visiting Arizona Coyotes. The Kings bounced back from an early deficit to claim the win, with three goals in the first period playing a pivotal role in their success. Anze Kopitar, Trevor Lewis, and Trevor Moore scored first-period goals, and the Kings didn't look back from there.
Blake Lizotte, Kevin Fiala, Adrian Kempe, and Kopitar each contributed a goal and an assist to the Kings' offense. The game saw the Coyotes' Connor Ingram exit the net after less than 13 minutes following the Kings' quick offensive burst. Jack McBain, Nick Bjugstad, and Clayton Keller scored for the Coyotes, who are now 3-3-0 for the season.
The Coyotes opened the scoring with McBain's goal at 2:59 of the first period, but Kopitar soon equalized for the Kings on the power play at 8:13, and Lewis gave the Kings the lead at 10:35 of the first. Moore extended the lead with another goal two minutes later.
The Coyotes managed to pull within one goal during the second period with goals from Bjugstad and Keller. However, Lizotte responded with a goal to maintain the Kings' lead. Fiala added another goal in the third period, and Kempe sealed the victory with an empty-net goal in the final minute.
The Kings won for the third time in four games, with Pheonix Copley making 24 saves in his second start. The Coyotes, who have played five of their first six games on the road, will now play five of their next six games at home, including a rematch with the Kings in Arizona on Friday.
