NH-169: Land losers to intensify protests if demands not met by March 20

NHAI Mangaluru National Highways Authority of India Samiti Karnataka

MANGALURU: The Bhoomalikara Horata Samiti (NH 169) on Tuesday staged a protest at the office of the project director of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in Karnataka’s Mangaluru against the delay in acquiring land, disbursing compensations and expediting the project.

Samiti president Mariamma Thomas warned that if the NHAI regional officer does not meet them by March 20, the protests would intensify, which would include highway blockades.
