Francis Ngannou and Ciryl Gane will meet inside the octagon in the first major event of the UFC calendar year.
UFC 270 sees the heavyweight champion look to unify his title with interim holder Gane in what could well be Ngannou’s last bout for a while.
Amid a contract dispute, the idea of some kind of exhibition bout with Tyson Fury does appear to be gathering pace. Certainly, a win here would only make that particular notion more appealing to the money men around the world.
Still, Gane is a dangerous opponent and would surely love to spoil the party somewhat.
