The Los Angeles Rams fell to the San Francisco 49ers again in Week 8, dropping them to 3-4 on the season. With the Rams now in third place in the NFC West, Touchdown Wire’s power rankings have dropped Los Angeles a couple of spots.
Following a 31-14 loss at home to the 49ers, Mark Lane of Touchdown Wire has moved the Rams from the No. 15 ranked team to the No. 17 ranked team in the NFL. Los Angeles is the third-highest-ranked team in the NFC West as the Seattle Seahawks sit at No. 11 and San Francisco moved up to No. 7.
Here’s what Lane had to say about the Rams after their lopsided loss to the 49ers.
Les Snead is every football fan’s favorite general manager because he takes chances. Sometimes they pay off, as was the case in 2021 when the Rams won the Super Bowl. However, teams that take such chances ultimately have to pay the price, and Los Angeles is doing so in their “run it back” campaign. Will Snead pull off another move at the trade deadline on Nov. 1 to give the Rams a much-needed edge?
The Rams elected not to make a move at the trade deadline ahead of a road showdown with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Buccaneers are struggling themselves as Lane has Tampa Bay one spot ahead of the Rams at No. 16 with a 3-5 record.
