NFL Week 2 picks: Who the experts are taking in Commanders vs. Broncos

It’s Week 2 of the NFL season, and the Washington Commanders have a chance to start 2-0 for the first time since the 2011 season. To put things into perspective, that was when Mike Shanahan was in his second season as Washington’s head coach and one year before the then-Redskins selected quarterbacks Robert Griffin III and Kirk Cousins in the NFL draft.

Washington’s opposition in Week 2 is the Denver Broncos. Denver enters Sunday’s game 0-1 after last week’s 17-16 home loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.

As we get closer to Sunday’s kickoff, the experts have weighed in on Sunday’s meeting between the Commanders and Broncos. And, according to NFL Pickwatch, the Commanders will not be starting this season 2-0.

Almost 3/4 of the experts picked the Broncos in Week 2, as 74% believe Denver will avoid beginning the season 0-2 in Sean Payton’s first year as head coach.
