Ahead of Thursday night’s first round of the NFL draft, the Cardinals are reportedly fielding offers for the No. 3 pick, according to ESPN’s Dianna Russini.
Russini notes that Arizona has “trade offers from multiple teams” that would like to move up to draft one of the top players available.
The Cardinals seem comfortable moving forward with Kyler Murray at quarterback, which makes the No. 3 pick appealing to quarterback-needy teams that would like to move up to draft one of the top players available at the position.
There are mixed signals regarding what the Texans will do at No. 2, as it appears the franchise is undecided if it wants to select a quarterback or a top defensive player at that pick, per Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer. If Houston goes with a defensive player, the second-best quarterback in the draft could be had at No. 3 where the Cardinals are picking.

Presumably, this would start with Ohio State QB C.J. Stroud, but Kentucky’s Will Levis and Florida’s Anthony Richardson could also be in play. The Panthers are widely expected to select former Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young with the No. 1 selection on Thursday night.
The Cardinals are sitting in an enviable spot under new coach Jonathan Gannon and will have the opportunity to either keep the pick at No. 3 or move back for a treasure trove of draft assets.
