Last week, the NFL announced important dates for the rest of 2024 and into May of 2025.
Of note to the Denver Broncos (and every other team) is the Aug. 27 deadline to submit an initial 53-man roster. The Broncos currently have 90 players on their offseason roster and they will have until 2:00 p.m. MT on that Tuesday in late August to make 37 roster moves.
After 53-man rosters are set across the league, teams can begin building 16-player* practice squads on Aug. 28. (*Teams can carry a 17th international player on the practice squad as part of the NFL’s International Player Pathway program.)
Another date of note is the NFL trade deadline, set for Tuesday, Nov. 5. And, of course, the Super Bowl already had a set date of Feb. 9.
Next offseason, the NFL combine will be held from Feb. 24-March 3, and NFL free agency will begin on March 12. The NFL draft will be held from April 24-26. See more dates of note below.
