According to Associated Press writer Josh Dubow’s post on X, the 51 turnovers on Sunday in week 15 were the most for any day since there were 51 total turnovers on December 11, 2016. The last day there were more than 51 turnovers in a day was September 25, 2016, which had 57 total turnovers.

Two games combined for 18 of the 51 turnovers on Sunday.
The game with the most turnovers was the Cincinnati Bengals and Tennessee Titans contest. They combined for 10 total turnovers in the game. This makes up almost 20% of the total turnovers on Sunday. Joe Burrow threw two interceptions and lost a fumble in the game. Will Levis threw three interceptions. He was pulled from the game. Mason Rudolph replaced Levis and he threw one interception. Tony Pollard and Levis each lost a fumble.
In the Colts and Broncos game, the two teams combined for eight turnovers. Anthony Richardson threw two interceptions. Jonathan Taylor, Adonai Mitchell, and Michael Pittman Jr. each lost a fumble. Bo Nix threw three interceptions in the contest.
Mitchell was trying to throw the ball back to quarterback Anthony Richardson behind the line of scrimmage, but Nik Bonitto stepped in front of the ball for a 50-yard touchdown return that helped the Broncos to a 31-13 win.
