Defensive end Sam Hubbard has not only played for the Cincinnati Bengals for six years, he also grew up a Bengals fan in the Cincinnati area.
Hubbard remembers watching Bengals games as a kid and rooting for them, something he talks about in a video posted by NFL Films on Twitter on Thursday.
Hubbard has stayed in Ohio his entire life. He went to Archbishop Moeller High School and played lacrosse and football before going to Ohio State University. From there, he was selected by the Bengals in the third round of the 2018 draft.
In the video, he talks about some of his biggest moments with the Bengals from his first defensive touchdown and his first sack to the forced fumble against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC championship game that helped send them to the Super Bowl in the 2021 season. He also mentions his 98-yard touchdown against the Ravens in the 2022 wild-card game.
Hubbard has a lifelong connection to Cincinnati that will always be remembered fondly by Bengals fans, and he still has more to go.
