The past few weeks have been rough on the New England Patriots. After just barely eking out a win over the rival Jets, New England lost its last two games in pretty decisive fashion to the Bills and Vikings, respectively.
As a struggling offense continues to hold back much of what the Patriots could potentially accomplish, some of their frustrations once again came to a boiling point against the Arizona Cardinals Monday night.
With New England trying to build some momentum on offense in the early third quarter, they had to take a timeout to get their bearings on a key second down. Be it the timeout, the play-calling, and or the general malaise of what is usually one of the NFL’s worst offenses; something appeared to tick Mac Jones off.
So much so that he dropped a loud f-bomb the broadcast happened to capture without censoring. (Note: NSFW language in the video below. If you do not like bad words, do NOT press play. You have been warned!)

Oh, man. The microphones on the field really got all of that one, huh? I mean, it’s so clear; it almost feels like I’m hearing a mediocre quarterback’s swear words on my TV’s sound bar.
If it’s any consolation for Jones and Patricia — who fans thought Jones was referring to with his f-bomb — the Patriots would rattle off 17 unanswered points after Jones’ short audible tirade en route to a 27-13 win and a 7-6 overall record. And it seemed the quarterback and offensive coordinator were in a good place later, too:

So, it seems not every expletive is a sign of irreversible discontent for a middling football team.
NFL fans sure thought Jones' f-bomb was about Matt Patricia
It is oddly soothing to know Mac Jones feels like I do about this offense. Back to back weeks, he’s summed it up nicely. https://t.co/9sH82lGojD

MAC JONES: We can’t keep doing this. Why are you still letting Matt Patricia call plays?

That was a veryyyy noticeable f-bomb by Mac Jones after the timeout. He’s pissed.

Mac Jones waving off Matt Patricia a few seconds after dropping a hot-mic F-bomb on #MNF is the perfect way to sum up this #Patriots season. pic.twitter.com/eDQa2t2rEJ

Mac Jones' beef with Matt Patricia is rapidly approaching "Hit 'Em Up" levels…

Seeing Mac Jones visibly frustrated with Matt Patricia at different times the last couple of games has me inexplicably appreciating Mac Jones more.

The Mac Jones-Matt Patricia relationship is one of the top-5 most amusing things in the NFL.

Would you believe it if I told you a year ago that Mac Jones would be bickering with Matt Patricia about play calling?
