NFL Fans Roasted Robert Griffin III for Suggesting Marshawn Lynch As Raiders’ Next Head Coach

Following the ousting of head coach Josh McDaniels and GM Brad Ziegler, the Raiders are set to roll with interim head coach Antonio Pierce for the short-term future.

In regard to the long-term however, there’s a long list of candidates Las Vegas could explore to replace McDaniels.

ESPN analyst and former Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III offered his take on a potential McDaniels replacement via X on Wednesday, though he may not have gotten the response he’d anticipated among football fans.

Griffin boldly threw Marshawn Lynch’s name in the ring for the next Las Vegas head coach, saying the former running back “at least” deserves an interview as the franchise aims to capture the “Raider Way” of old.

“Who says no?” asked Griffin on X.

Some fans were quick to point out that Griffin was strongly opposed to the Colts’ hiring of Jeff Saturday last season, suggesting he was being inconsistent by suddenly campaigning for Lynch.

Ultimately, Griffin’s take on the Raiders’ head coaching vacancy proved quite unpopular, and fans had plenty to say in response.
