When Tom Brady went into this season with the Buccaneers, he probably didn’t anticipate battling for his playoff hopes against the Carolina Panthers in Week 17 … with both teams holding sub-.500 records.
But that’s exactly where he found himself on Sunday, and he really tried anything to give the Bucs an edge. And by that, I mean he tested the officials’ tolerance for *any* contact on Brady.
Earlier in the season, the Bucs were the beneficiaries of a soft roughing call that effectively ended the Falcons’ hopes of a win against Tampa. Against Carolina, the crew wasn’t falling for Brady’s antics despite an over-the-top flop and lively reaction to the no call.

Brady tumbled over after a light touch from Derrick Brown and went looking for a flag. When that didn’t come, he got into the face of Brown and Bravvion Roy.
NFL fans, of course, had jokes about the entire sequence.
