NFL combine 40-yard dash times: The all-time fastest in history, now led by Xavier Worthy

There are so many drills to keep an eye on at the NFL combine, but really: The 40-yard dash is king.

It’s the drill that’s turned good players in first-rounders, the one that’s sent stocks plummeting, even if slow players have turned out to be Hall of Famers.

So we’ve put together the best times that have been run at combine. NFL wide receiver John Ross III’s long-standing 40 record fell on at the 2024 NFL combine, as former Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy broke the record with an official 4.21-second time.
