NFL chief speaks out on Eagles' handling of Jalen Hurts blood clots

The NFL is open to an inquiry into the Philadelphia Eagles’ handling of Jalen Hurts’ blood clots after a request from the players’ union, Commissioner Roger Goodell stated Wednesday.

Speaking at a news conference marking the conclusion of the NFL's annual fall meeting, Goodell stated that Dr. Allen Sills, the league's chief medical officer, reviewed the procedures that took place, noting that the union was entirely within its rights to request a formal review.
