The Chicago Bears are facing more adversity before the new coaching and management regime ever sees the field. Wide receiver David Moore, who signed with the Bears this offseason, has been arrested on drugs and weapons charges in his Texas hometown.
Moore becomes the third Bears player who was added by Chicago this offseason to be arrested. He follows in the unfortunate footsteps of fellow WR Byron Pringle and linebacker Matt Adams as players brought in by new GM Ryan Poles who earned criminal charges since joining the Bears.
Moore was expected to compete for significant reps at wide receiver when he signed. He was an occasional starter in Seattle from 2017-2020 and spent the 2021 season with both the Packers and Broncos.
