Neymar would "love" playing at Arsenal if he opted to quit PSG this summer, according to Emmanuel Petit.
The Brazilian, who remains the most expensive player in history, has been in Paris since 2017 but there is talk of him being moved on. Despite registering impressive numbers and showcasing his quality Neymar has been unable to deliver what he'd hoped with the French giants.
His mammoth wages coupled with continued PSG failures may lead to a summer shake-up and Neymar could yet be sold. Petit has talked up a switch to the Emirates with the Gunners seemingly a side on the rise with their young guns massively overachieving this term.
He told Genting Casino : "I think Neymar will suit any big club. If he comes to Arsenal, I would love it and I think he will too. I think he will enjoy the technical football and the style of Arsenal. He would love to play with younger players as he is quite mature himself.
"He will also have revenge on his mind with everything that he has been going through at PSG, and the tears he shed at the World Cup. I think he will be happy to move to Arsenal if that is the case. He can play on the left and the right, and because of his ankle injuries he can be a player in rotation.
"If he goes to Man Utd, I will be very happy for them and the Premier League. They have Rashford and Sancho who can man both wings, but also have the skills to rotate so Neymar can easily fit into that cycle."
Arsenal have enjoyed the benefit of a settled front three with Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli often starting for Mikel Arteta. Despite signing last summer doubts remain over Jesus' ability to be a prolific marksman that can fire a team to the title.
Neymar, now 31, has smashed the 20 goal mark five times since moving to Europe - although he's not done so since 2019. The Brazilian is equally capable of leading the line as well as playing out wide, giving any manager options when it comes to deploying him in a starting XI.
Manchester United too have been touted as a possible destination with Erik ten Hag offering a cryptic response when asked about a possible move for the forward. Neymar's compatriot Rivaldo has said: “I am in favour of Neymar transferring to Manchester United.”
