Next Tottenham manager odds on Julian Nagelsmann, Mauricio Pochettino and Luis Enrique

Tottenham Hotspur are now on the search for their fourth manager in as many years after Antonio Conte agreed to leave the club by mutual consent after an incredible tirade from the Italian coach. His tenure lasted just 16 months but his time at the club was brought into question after an explosive post-match press conference in the 3-3 draw against Southampton.

The club have since immediately replaced him with Cristian Stellini in an acting role for the rest of the season with Ryan Mason promoted to assistant manager. Stellini, who owes a lot on his coaching career to Conte, is considered one of the main candidates to be appointed on a permanent basis but he is not the only one.

Former RB Leipzig head coach Julian Nagelsmann is the bookies favourite after the German coach was sacked as Bayern Munich boss just a couple of days ago after he was replaced by former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel. Former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has been linked with a return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for some time while Luis Enrique is a potential candidate too after stepping down as head coach of the Spanish national team after the 2022 World Cup.

Julian Nagelsmann - Evens

The favourite candidate since he was sacked at Bayern Munich suddenly in the last week and replaced by former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel - who was his boss at Augsburg before suffering a serious knee injury. The 35-year-old coach has a wealth of experience under him after promising spells at Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig before landing the big job in the Bundesliga where he won the league title last year in his first full season for the German side.

The former Augsburg defender has a reputation of implementing various formations during the gameplay while maintaining possession and enforcing gegenpress whenever the team loses the ball. A fitting ideology for a club that needs some stability and vision from the touchline.

Mauricio Pochettino - 7/2

They say never go back but there has often been talk for former Spurs boss Pochettino of returning to the club where he is still thought of fondly by the fans. His time at the club is remembered fondly despite in the way that it did just months after guiding the team to a Champions League final.

However, the Argentine has only picked up one managerial since his sacking back in November 2019 with a spell at Ligue 1 side PSG which lasted less than 18 months and has been out of a coaching job since he left back in July last year.

Luis Enrique - 8/1

Former Spain and Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has been linked with another London-based job plus is available on a free having left his job at the Spanish national team. Enrique promotes a style of play that many at Spurs will be happy with and the promise of plenty of goals too.

A proven winner too, Enrique picked up two La Liga titles, three Copa del Rey's, a Champions League trophy, Super Cup and Club World Cup while at Nou Camp and could be the answer to end Tottenham's trophy drought.

Cristian Stellini - 16/1

The acting head coach has also been linked with a more-permanent role at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and has been Conte's right-hand man at Spurs as well as a previous spells at Juventus and Inter Milan. One that is familiar with the squad and may be able to impose his own ideas however, with Conte's dismissal it may be fair to say that Stellini's stay is potentially a short-term solution.

The Italian coach had to leave his role at Juventus for alleged match-fixing which saw him suspended from the game after two-years.

Sergio Conceicao - 16/1

The Porto head coach has been linked as a possible outside contender for the vacant head coach role in north London. The former Standard Liege midfielder boasts an impressive CV with three Primeira Liga titles.

He is known for his dynamic and attacking style of play incorporating it into either a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 formation with high pressing to disrupt the opposition's play.
