High street retailer Next has launched a collaboration with one of the world's most popular designers. The collaboration means shoppers are able to buy dresses that would normally cost thousands for as little as £40.
The website has collaborated with Mary Katrantzou - whose dresses normally retail for an average of £1,500. The designer, who is known as 'the Queen of print', is popular with celebrities like Keira Knightley, Hailee Steinfeld, Claudia Schiffer, and Dianna Agron.
The 30-piece Mary Katrantzou x Lipsy collection launched on the Next website today, and is described as 'a breezy bouquet of bold, beautiful blooms – exclusive, one-of-a-kind prints that bring a breath of fresh air to skater silhouettes, trending tea dresses, must-have maxis and easy-style staples – not to mention getaway ready swimwear – perfect for the season of blue skies and non-stop sunshine.'

The eye-catching, uplifting collection is an exciting launch for the much-loved high-street brand and the celebrated fashion-designer – a refreshingly authentic partnership based on like-minded core values and a shared passion for print.
The collection has already been a hit with shoppers, and several pieces have sold out. If you want it, you should be quick.
Mary Katrantzou is an award-winning designer and a leading image maker who has changed the face of twenty-first-century fashion with her signature womenswear collections and unapologetic approach to design. Prestigious accolades include the New Establishment award at the Fashion Awards and International Designer of the Decade by VOGUE, while Mary’s work has been exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Victoria and Albert Museum and renowned locations across the globe.
Speaking about the collection, Mary Katrantzou said: “We are delighted to be working with Lipsy on this capsule range that draws inspiration from our prints. The flora & fauna motif prints that emblazon summer dresses and beachwear alongside famed Ombre valley prints are designed to be building blocks of a woman’s vacation wardrobe.”

Mary Katrantzou x Lipsy Short Sleeve Under Bust Midi Dress - £52
She says: "This collection is a breath of fresh air in terms of the summer dresses on offer right now. There's a reason Mary Katrantzou is known as the Queen of print, and her designs speak for themselves. There's something utterly indulgent about the rainbow colour palette and floral prints which run through the Lipsy collection. It looks expensive, but doesn't cost a fortune. Never mind drowning yourself in Union Jacks for the Jubilee Bank Holiday, grab a Mary Katrantzou piece if you really want to look like a member of Royalty at a garden party...without breaking the bank."
