‘Next pandemic’ virus fears trigger Covid-style screenings at airports

The outbreak of a deadly virus in West Bengal, India, has sparked concerns in parts of Asia, with some initiating Covid-style screenings at airports.

At least five cases of the Nipah virus, which has no cure and can kill 75 per cent of those it infects, have been detected in West Bengal, India.
