Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard and former Everton manager Frank Lampard are among the names linked with succeeding Jesse Marsch at Leeds United.
The American head coach was relieved of his duties at Elland Road in light of their defeat to Nottingham Forest. Brennan Johnson's strike for Steve Cooper's side was enough for Forest to claim the points leaving the west Yorkshire side 17th in the Premier League table.
Marsch's reign comes to an end after 11 months in charge following the sacking of Marcelo Bielsa. The 49-year-old became the eighth manager this season to leave their post after four wins this season, including their triumph at Anfield.

Gerrard has been out of the dugout since his time at Aston Villa came to an end in October. While former Blues boss Lampard was relieved of his duties in light of Everton's 2-0 defeat to West Ham and he was subsequently replaced by Sean Dyche on the eve of the transfer window's conclusion.
Leeds are due to travel to Goodison Park in mid-February, a game already billed as a six-pointer, with both sides looking to ensure Premier League survival.
Dyche got off to a winning start in L4 after James Tarkowski scored his first Everton goal in their 1-0 win over Arsenal.
Gerrard has been listed as one of the contenders to take over at Elland Road but Lampard is an outsider after being sacked by Everton a matter of weeks ago.
