Oliver Kahn has ruled Bayern Munich out of the equation in the race to sign Borrusia Dortmund centre forward Erling Haaland, stating that the Norwegian striker is too expensive for the German giants.
Haaland will most definitely be a man who a whole host of clubs will be interested in acquiring once the upcoming transfer window opens, with Chelsea reportedly monitoring his situation. But according to Kahn, Bayern Munich won't be in the hunt.
"We wouldn't be doing our job properly if we didn't look at a young striker like him," the Bayern CEO said to Sport1. "He's an excellent forward, and a highly interesting player for the future. But the financial dimensions are beyond our imagination."
