The way the 49-year-old handled a difficult period while the club was under sanctions ensured he had the respect of all who followed the club.
Regardless of how Tuchel's tenure ended, it will be no easy feat to replace him and the man set to be given that task is Graham Potter. The Brighton boss comes with a solid reputation for his work on the south coast and appears to be on the verge of signing a five-year deal.
