MAYBE TONIGHT gets the Nap vote to exploit a basement rating of 53 in the At The Races Form Study App (6.05) at Windsor today.
The Tony Carroll-trained son of Muhaarar made his debut in the sphere over course and distance three weeks ago, finishing fourth to Cabeza De Llave.
But that doesn’t tell the whole story – Maybe Tonight, whose draw in stall 10 was no particular help, travelled with purpose before having to switch wide to mount his challenge.
Will Buick’s mount starts from a more advantageous berth in stall two, and Maybe Tonight has more to offer on the fifth outing of his life.
At Ayr, SIXCOR didn’t get the breaks in a course-and-distance handicap a week ago, but if taken to make amends in the Book Virgin Bet Ayr Gold Cup Handicap (2.25).
Twice successful over five furlongs at Ayr earlier in the campaign, the Linda Perratt-saddled four-year-old had to wait for an opening before running on to take fourth to Classy Al in a six-furlong handicap on Scotland’s west coast last Monday.
Sixcor would very likely have given the winner something to think about if the gaps had appeared in time, and a good account is on the cards here.
