TRAINER Rebecca Menzies can do little wrong at the moment, with a strike rate of nearly a third over the past fortnight.
She struck twice over the weekend with Fonzerelli in a listed novice hurdle at Doncaster and Dalyotin in a handicap chase at Sedgefield.
And she can continue that hot run with another winner in the opener, courtesy of yard newcomer HASTY BROOK (1.00).
The five-year-old, who was third and seventh in two bumpers in Ireland last March, made a winning hurdles debut for Joseph O’Brien at Clonmel in January when keeping on well over two miles to beat Mahons Glory by eight lengths.
My selection has since switched to the in-form Menzies yard and is sure to progress again upped in trip by half a mile.
He can get the better of likely main rival Tfou in the Go Racing With vickers.bet Novices’ Hurdle.
At Sandown, the fast-improving GIT MAKER (4.05) can continue his perfect start under Rules with victory in the Team Forces Handicap Hurdle.
The Jamie Snowden-trained six-year-old has won both his hurdle starts so far – at Chepstow and Carlisle – having landed a Necarne point-to-point last May.
His latest victory at Carlisle was over two miles and one furlong, and the way he finished strongly to beat Masked Crusader by three-and-a-quarter lengths should make Tuesday’s two and a half mile trip at Sandown even more ideal on his handicap debut.
