GIRL power can prove the order of the day at Salisbury in the Shipseys Marquees Fillies' Handicap.
The William Knight-trained LORDSBRIDGE GIRL (4.10, nap) won her first two races this season, landing the spoils at Kempton and Lingfield, both over today's distance of a mile.
The four-year-old was subsequently beaten only a neck by Kensington Agent over seven furlongs at Kempton in February and, last time out over the same trip at Lingfield, finished third again - this time to Matty Too.
The daughter of Adaay kept on well in the closing stages, so back up a furlong to a mile today should suit.
At Brighton, course lover BIG TIME MAYBE (4.50) is the pick in the Royal Ascot On Sky Sports Racing Handicap.
The eight-year-old, trained by Phil McEntee has won on the Sussex course four times, the latest over today's distance of five and a half furlongs in May when holding on gamely to beat Master Sully by a nose under today's regular rider Josephine Gordon.
Last time out, also at Brighton at the end of May, the gelding finished a decent third of seven, beaten one-and-three-quarter lengths by Alfred Cove.
He was beaten into second by one of today's rivals, I'm Mable, but can reverse that form with a 3lb swing in the weights.
