The five-year-old began his juvenile career on the Newcastle all-weather, finishing runner-up on three of his four starts, and he performed well last term at around this mark, having previously scored twice over six furlongs at Thirsk and Nottingham.
Nigel Tinkler sent him over course and distance 10 days ago, finishing a decent third, having not had the clearest of runs, running on well in the closing stages in a similar class contest. That run is sure to have brought him on nicely.
