Newington's Paul Hamilton says they have adopted a tunnel vision approach to their Premier Intermediate League run-in this season.
The North Belfast outfit kept themselves in the title hunt with a 1-0 win over Dollingstown on Saturday.
An Aodhán Gillen goal one minute before the break was enough to earn Newington three priceless points, and keep them on the coattails of Armagh City and Bangor above them in the table.

“We will take a win over anything else at this stage of the season. That’s what it is all about,” Hamilton told Match on Tuesday.
“We don’t worry about Armagh and Bangor, we can’t control their results unless we play them.
“Our only focus is on ourselves, and whatever happens elsewhere will happen. We have to look after our own results and see where it takes us.
‘We have some momentum building. That’s our third league win on the bounce.
“After the defeat in the Intermediate quarter-finals, our focus was on the league. If we go on and win all our games, who is to say we can’t become league champions?
“The lads have grasped that challenge and we have to keep knocking off the wins and picking up points.”
Hamilton added: “Promotion is our aim, that’s what we are fighting for.
“The split is coming in soon so there will be some massive games. The top six will be playing each other which is good, and this is where we want to be.
“I have been so proud of the players this season. They have been fantastic. Sometimes I would nitpick on wee things, but to a man they have shown dedication and determination to do the job.
“We won the Steel and Sons Cup which was on our radar. The Intermediate was, too. But the boys are fantastic. We have a big squad and if one player gets hurt we have another ready to step in.
“Sometimes it is a bit of a headache for the management team, but it is a good headache to have.”
In a game of few chances, Gillen’s solitary goal proved the difference at Solitude on Saturday.
Hamilton admits he wasn’t surprised by the tight nature of the game, in what was almost a repeat of the previous league meeting between the sides at Planter’s Park which also ended in a 1-0 win for Newington.
He added: “It was a tight enough affair and there wasn’t much in it.
“We just got that chance and managed to score it just before half-time. It was a good time to score and it made the team talk a bit easier.
“We then managed to contain them in the second half, but fair play to Dollingstown because they kept trying to break us down.
“We are just glad to get the goal and win, and it is another important three points. It keeps us in the hunt.
“We knew it would be a tight affair. We beat them 1-0 down at their place and it was a close game, so we knew it would be the same this time.
“We should have maybe killed this one off but we never took the other chances we had.”
Newington are not back in league action until next Wednesday when they host Portstewart at Solitude, while their two main title rivals both have games this weekend.
“We are playing catch-up a bit which isn’t ideal,” Hamilton added.
“We don’t have a game this weekend while the teams around us do. We tried getting a game but unfortunately it didn’t work out.
“We will still be training and we will give the boys next Saturday off. They have done really well and we will let them recover a bit.
“We will train Tuesday and Thursday and then we have a midweek game next week against Portstewart. So we will turn our focus to that.”
