Alexander Isak returns to the Newcastle starting line-up for their clash with Brighton this afternoon.
The forward - a favourite amongst Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers - has missed the last three games after breaking his toe.
Isak has scored only once in the Premier League thus far this term but has been hailed by Seagulls boss Fabian Hurzeler ahead of their trip to St James’ Park.
However, Kieran Trippier is out and adds to Howe’s mounting injury list at St James’ Park.
Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles are long-term absentees, but Lewis Miley has been named on the bench.
Martin Dubravka and Calum Wilson are also not involved, with Bruno Guimaraes captaining the side.
Newcastle XI (4-3-3): Pope; Livramento, Schar, Burn, Hall; Guimaraes, Joelinton, Tonali; Murphy, Isak, Gordon.
Subs: Odysseas, Barnes, Krafth, Osula, Almiron, Kelly, Willock, Longstaff, L. Miley.
Injured: Wilson, Dubravka, Botman, Trippier, Lascelles.
Time and date: 3pm BST on Saturday October 19, 2024
Venue: St James’ Park
