Warm banks are being set up across the nation to help people struggling with the cost-of-living crisis . The spaces, which are being set up by local authorities, charities and community groups, offer a warm space for people to go without fear of judgement.
Many will offer warm drinks and food as well as WiFi access. There is no charge to use the warm bank though some services, such as refreshments or WiFi, will come at a small cost.
So if you find yourself in need of someplace warm to stay for a few hours, then you can always pay a visit to one of these warm banks across the city. Each of these has different opening hours and offers different activities, if you are unsure before you go, reach out to the organisers for help.

Where are Newcastle’s warm spaces?
Set up with the assistance of Newcastle City Council, there are 48 “winter wellbeing hubs” across the city. Many have other resources available for those who are struggling in other areas, too.
