Newcastle are the latest side to try and put a dent in Manchester City when the sides meet this afternoon.
Pep Guardiola’s side swatted aside West Ham and Bournemouth in their opening two matches of the Premier League season, scoring six and conceding none. Those sides managed just two shots on target between them.
Plenty is expected of Newcastle this season, though they have not really used their new riches this summer. It’s been a relatively quiet transfer window so far, though that could change in the next couple of weeks.
City have scored at least four goals in four of the past five meetings between the two sides, losing to Newcastle in the Premier League just once since 2005.

Newcastle vs Manchester City prediction
It’s been an ominous start to the season from Man City and that looks set to continue, even if Newcastle’s home form has been superb under Eddie Howe.
The Magpies will likely sit deep and look to take their opportunities on the break through the likes of Allan Saint-Maximin, but it would be a huge surprise if they were able to continue their unbeaten start to the campaign.
Man City win, 2-0.
