The Magpies replaced the suspended Bruno Guimaraes with Allan Saint-Maximin with Joelinton dropping back into midfield. Saint-Maximin was back in the starting line-up for the first time since August when he scored in the 1-1 draw at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
