Liverpool will be looking for their first back-to-back win since December when they travel to the north-east to face an overachieving Newcastle United who occupy one of the Champions League spots in the Premier League. Jurgen Klopp's side have returned to winning ways with a 2-0 win in the Merseyside Derby against Everton at home on Monday but now have the chance to go as high as sixth if they can come back home with three points at St James' Park.
The Reds find themselves as the slight underdogs from the bookies with Betfred pricing them at 7/4 while the hosts are 6/4 and draw is 12/5. The Toon, however, are winless in their last 12 Premier League meeting with the Reds - drawing four and losing eight of them - since Steve McClaren led the side to a 2-0 win back in December 2015.
Despite Howe's impressive start in his first full season as Newcastle boss, it seem the momentum is slowing down. In their last six league outings, they have only managed to get one win in that time and draw the rest.
