Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe did not take any chances on World Cup-bound striker Callum Wilson by naming Chris Wood in attack against Chelsea on Saturday.
Wilson did take a place on the bench after struggling with illness and training alone this week. Howe started with Wood in his three-man frontline alongside Miguel Almiron and Joelinton.

Nick Pope started in goal with Kieran Trippier at right-back and Sven Botman and Fabian Schar in the middle of defence. Dan Burn got the nod at left-back ahead of Matt Targett again.
