Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe left Allan Saint-Maximin on the bench against Aston Villa - despite him being declared fit after hamstring trouble.
The Frenchman suffered a recurrence of the muscle injury after the 5-1 loss to Brentford recently. It meant Howe stuck with the front three that helped beat Spurs last weekend.
Nick Pope started in goal while Kieran Trippier skippered the side in his 200th Premier League match. And there were starts again for the unshakable Fabian Schar and Sven Botman.

And the front three of Miguel Almiron, Callum Wilson and Joelinton were looking for further goals.
UNITED: Pope, Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn, Willock, Guimaraes, Longstaff, Almiron, Wilson, Joelinton.
Subs: Karius, Lascelles, Shelvey, Saint-Maximin, Targett, Manquillo, Wood, Fraser, Murphy.
