Here is your latest 4am Newcastle United transfer digest.
Magpies quoted north of £50m for transfer trio
Despite landing club-record signing Alexander Isak, Newcastle were still reportedly looking for attacking signings up until deadline day during this summer's transfer window.
The Athletic have reported that this summer, the Magpies were given a £50m price tag for Brentford's Ivan Toney, Bayer Leverkusen's Moussa Diaby and Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Of course, none of the names left their respective clubs over the summer and judging from Isak's start to his Newcastle career against Liverpool in midweek, fans will be happy that they landed him instead of the other names that the club went in for during the window.
17-year-old 'wonderkid' scouted
Before all the transfer rumours had whipped up a storm, Newcastle were reportedly flying halfway across the world to watch a Brazilian youngster who could be the next Neymar.
The Magpies' head of recruitment Steve Nickson travelled to Brazil in July to see Angelo Gabriel according to the Athletic. The youngster, who has made 43 top-flight appearances for Brazilian side Santos, has intrigued multiple European clubs including Liverpool and Real Madrid.
If Gabriel does make the trip across the Atlantic, he'll follow in the footsteps of Neymar, who left Santos in 2013 to join Spanish giants Barcelona. However, he has a £52m release clause in his contract which was introduced on his 16th birthday.
Nickson saw Gabriel feature in Santos' 2-1 loss on July 2 against Flamengo and the report says the club will continue to monitor his progress in the future ahead of the upcoming transfer windows.
