Here are the latest Newcastle United transfer rumours on Monday, June 27.
Toon alert to Soucek contract stand-off
Having totally transformed the Newcastle midfield, Eddie Howe may want to bolster his ranks in the middle of the park this summer. Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes have excelled in the two ‘number eight’ roles and an elite holding midfielder could be on the transfer agenda.
According to The Sun, United are interested in a move for West Ham’s Tomas Soucek who is at an impasse with the Hammers over a new contract. The towering Czech Republic international first held talks over a fresh deal at the London Stadium back in February but has heard nothing since.

The report states that £30m might be enough to acquire Soucek’s services and the Magpies are joined by Everton and Aston Villa in showing interest.
Newcastle among potential suitors for Eriksen
The return of Christian Eriksen to the Premier League was one of the true feel-good stories of the 2021/22 season as he helped Brentford cruise to safety. Although, his deal was just a six-month one and he is once again a free agent.
After showing that he is still every bit the player he was when he played for Tottenham, several top-flight clubs are considering a move for the Dane. The Times are reporting that, along with Manchester United, Newcastle are joined by Everton, Leicester and – of course - Brentford in pursuit of his signature.
Eriksen is, however, in no rush to make a decision and is keen to see what unfolds over the next few weeks regarding the squads of the interested parties.
Milan turn their attention away from Botman
Newcastle have been locked in battle with AC Milan for much of the summer in their chase for Sven Botman. Although, the Magpies seem to have beaten the Italian champions to the punch. The finer details still need to be ironed out between everyone involved but the Dutch defender is extremely likely to be wearing a black and white shirt when the season begins.
Having dropped out of the race, Milan are wasting no time in hunting for another centre-back. According to TUTTOmercatoWEB, they are in talks to sign Francesco Acerbi from Lazio while William Saliba of Arsenal and Schalke’s Malick Thiaw are among the other central defenders they are interested in.
