A round-up of the latest Newcastle United transfer rumours on Saturday, 28 January.
Ryan Fraser told he has 'no future at Newcastle United
Former Hibernian striker Tam McManus believes Ryan Fraser's time as a Newcastle United player is coming to an end. The Magpies winger has not been involved in Premier League game since October, but Eddie Howe has hinted he still has a part to play at St. James' Park.
“It’s clear he has no future at Newcastle,” McManus told Football Insider. “I haven’t seen anything about clubs being interested in him since the start of the month. He can’t even get on the bench for Newcastle so it doesn’t look good for him.
“The only hope is that some clubs get desperate on deadline day and someone takes a punt on him. I can’t see him getting back into the Newcastle team if he stays, it’s grim.
“So that will be another six months of doing nothing until he goes in the summer. He really needs that move now but I don’t think he is going to get it.”

Leicester turn down James Maddison approach from unnamed club
Miguel Delaney claims Leicester City have turned down a concrete bid for James Maddison from an unnamed club. Writing in his Independent column, he claims that Maddison could still be sold by Leicester between now and the end of this month.
The Foxes have reportedly been turning down every approach they have received in recent weeks, which included at least one concrete bid from an unnamed club, although the possibility of a last-minute exit cannot be ruled out as of yet.
Newcastle United made two attempts to sign the playmaker last summer, but the Foxes rejected their advances. Maddison is yet to sign a new deal at the King Power, with his contract set to expire in the summer of 2024.
