Newcastle United are set to make a fresh bid for for in-form Napoli star Victor Osimhen in the summer transfer window - say La Gazzetta dello Sport over in Italy. The Magpies had their name in headlines in the famous Italian publication on Monday morning on the back of a good weekend for 23-year-old star Osimhen.
The Nigeria international scored twice in Napoli's 2-1 win over Udinese to take his tally to 15 for the season. Osimhen was subject of an "official bid" from United back in January and Newcastle's interest is still strong according to Italian journalists with Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur also keen.
Napoli are currently in the Serie A title hunt in what has turned into an enthralling three horse race between AC Milan, Inter Milan and the men from Stadio Maradona. Napoli will listen to bids of €100million for his services.

Newcastle's head of recruitment Steve Nickson is believed to have ran the rule over Osimhen before, as far back as his days at Charleroi where he spent time on loan from Wolfsburg before making a switch to Lille. From there he signed for Napoli for €81million.
Osimhen has scored 25 times in 55 appearances for Napoli but has hinted before about playing in England, he said in 2020: "Of course, one day I’d like to play for a big club in England." The football world are following his next move closely, and it would be a major coup if Newcastle did land his services this summer.
Newcastle scout joins Leicester and Arsenal talent spotters in stands at Sassuolo
Another Serie A star that Newcastle are believed to be keeping tabs on is Domenico Berardi of Sassuolo. The winger has a price tag of £25million and has been attracting scouts from both Leicester City and Arsenal in recent months.
Newcastle already beat the Gunners to Bruno Guimaraes in January and this would be another superb piece of business. Given Berardi, a Euro 2020 winner, is regarded one of the best of his generation it is little wonder the Magpies are taking a close look.
Freddie Woodman loan move leaves Bournemouth open to questions
The Newcastle shot-stopper is yet to start a game in the Sky Bet Championship for the Cherries, prompting questions over why the South Coast decided to request a loan deal for the second half of the season. Woodman's only appearance for Bournemouth so far has been in the FA Cup against Borehamwood and it's now eight games on the bench in the Championship.
When signing Woodman in January, Scott Parker said: "Fred's going to help us - I'm glad we've got him." Although he is yet to get a start ahead of Mark Travers.
Bournemouth are second in the table and closing in on a return to the Premier League. Perhaps Parker will argue he doesn't need to change a team picking up points.
