Zaniolo off to Bournemouth?
Various outlets are reporting that Bournemouth are in advanced talks to sign Nicolo Zaniolo. Newcastle and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the Roma midfielder.
The 23-year-old has 11 caps for Italy and is out of contract in 18 months. With Eddie Howe short of midfield options, Zaniolo was a name thrown around by several European publications to fix the Magpies’ problem.

However, the Cherries appear to have won the race. A bid of around £26million has reportedly been accepted by Jose Mourinho’s Roma.
Gordon alternative identified
Hakim Ziyech is viewed by Toon chiefs as an Anthony Gordon alternative, according to reports. Negotiations with Everton are deadlocked as the Toffees are unwilling to budge on their £60million valuation.
Newcastle value the 21-year-old closer to the £40million mark, especially as he has two years remaining on his contract. Ziyech’s move to Chelsea has not worked out but an impressive World Cup has recast the Moroccan back into the limelight.
At 29, the Blues could be keen to offload Ziyech due to a crippling wage bill and squad size. New boys Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke and Joao Felix as well as Raheem Sterling, Christian Pulisic and Kai Havertz are all competing for the same first-team places at Stamford Bridge.
Madrid to pip Mags
Real Madrid will trigger the £8million buy-back clause in Fran Garcia's contract. The Magpies were reportedly interested in the Spaniard, who plays for La Liga outfit Rayo Vallecano.
Newcastle faced Los Franjirrojos in a pre-season friendly last month but Garcia did not feature. Since moving across the capital from his boyhood club, the 23-year-old has emerged as a promising left-back.
The Athletic claim Carlo Ancelotti is keen to re-sign the player - capped for Spain at under-21 level - two years after his Bernabeu exit.
