Sell ASM, buy Zaha?
Rio Ferdinand has urged Newcastle to sell Allan Saint-Maximin and sign Wilfried Zaha. The Crystal Palace forward is out of contract at the end of the campaign and his Selhurst Park future hangs in the balance.
Saint-Maximin, on the other hand, has just returned from an injury setback and made back-to-back substitute appearances in the Premier League. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ferdinand called for a shake-up in the Magpies’ frontline.

“If I am Newcastle, I would buy him (Zaha),” he said. “I would take him, and I would sell Saint-Maximin. Or I would have them both. He scores more than Saint-Maximin. Keep Saint-Maximin or whatever, but Wilfried Zaha at Newcastle is a problem.”
Almiron a wanted man
Spanish outlet Fichajes claims Arsenal and Manchester United are considering a move for Miguel Almiron. An incredible start to the season has seen the Paraguayan bag eight goals to help Eddie Howe’s side climb up to third.
With 18 months left on his contract, there are suggestions of an extension to keep suitors at bay. The report also lists Atletico Madrid as a potential destination to bolster their underperforming squad.
Unlike previous years, Newcastle are not desperate to sell. The Saudi-backed takeover makes the Magpies an attractive proposition who do not need to cash in on their prized assets.
Fekir rumours ‘wide of the mark’
It is unlikely that Nabil Fekir will play in black-and-white stripes anytime soon, according to Estadio Deportivo. Reports in Spain have linked Newcastle with a move for the Frenchman, who has 25 international caps.
Valued at £45million, Fekir has been linked with a Premier League switch throughout his career. The report claims Newcastle would not want to stump up an offer in that region for a 29-year-old.
It also insists Real Betis “do not fear” the Magpies’ enormous wealth and are confident Fekir wants to remain in Seville.
