A contingent of Newcastle United supporters have asked if it's time to find more cover for Callum Wilson with the striker ruled out of today's clash with Leicester City. The Magpies number nine was not part of the travelling squad having been struck down by an illness.
Eddie Howe made just the one change from the win over Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup. Chris Wood came into the side to replace Wilson, who played 76 minutes in the win over the Cherries.
Wilson has had his fair share of injury problems during his time with the Toon but was called up to England's World Cup squad for the World Cup in Qatar. The striker returned from the tournament unscathed, but supporters have raised the need for further investment up front with Wood the only fit striker at the club, in Wilson's absence and Alexander Isak's long-term injury.

The Magpies will be hoping to pick up where they left off prior to the winter break for the World Cup. Four of Newcastle's representatives at the tournament will start at the King Power this afternoon, with Wilson left out of the matchday squad.
Here's what Newcastle United supporters had to say following Eddie Howe's team selection:
@ShaunGraham94 said: "Wilson injured I suppose?"
@cjlow_ said: "Time to move on from Wilson?"
@laidler22 tweeted: "Wilson rested for Leeds at home definitely makes sense."
@timclear77 tweeted: "Why is Wilson not even on the bench? No more mention of possible injury before match?"
@TomDent5 said: "Need more Strikers......none on the bench."
@david_labelle said: "Wood brace incoming."
@toonarmy99 tweeted: "All these people wanting Wilson to go to the World Cup ,give your head a wobble we needed him fit for Newcastle."
