Bruno Guimaraes has been named in the WhoScored Premier League Team of the Month for April. The midfielder picked up three man-of-the-match awards during the month, scoring three goals and notching one assist.
The arrival of the playmaker has coincided with Newcastle's remarkable ascent towards the top-half of the Premier League and the 24-year-old has added a touch of class to the Magpies midfield. Guimaraes' brace against Leicester was his first in a Newcastle shirt and a result that lifted the Toon into the top 10.
The Brazilian then got the assist for Miguel Almiron in the following game against Crystal Palace before bagging another goal in the Toon's win at Carrow Road. The midfielder has already spoken of his ambition to play in the Champions League and challenge for trophies.

Guimaraes is seen as a star of the future and Real Madrid are reportedly tracking the midfielder after his move to St. James' Park. Newcastle fans needn't worry about losing their new found talisman, after he penned a four-and-a-half year deal in January.
The Magpies midfielder was given the joint second highest rating by statistics website Who Scored in April, behind Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne and Tottenham Hotspur's Heung-Min Son.
