Alexander Isak admitted he should have left the field with two goals to his name at Brentford and cursed his luck in front of goal.
Isak, who scored the winner after curving home after a pass from Callum Wilson, also saw a late shot saved in the capital. But the 23-year-old tally remains at eight for Newcastle United.

Isak said: "Looking back at it, obviously that is a chance I should score. "It's all right now because it is three points.
"I am enjoying it a lot. "Especially the way the team is playing.
"We're all doing well. "Everyone is contributing and I am happy to be a part of this."
The win at Brentford made it five wins in a row for Newcastle with Isak now finally up and running after a season of injury and a lack of game-time in part one of the campaign. United now look to Aston Villa on Saturday and Isak told Premier League productions: "Every game is important. "We know it won't be easy but we're in good form now.
"We just have to keep going like this."
