Newcastle United co-owners Mehrdad Ghodoussi and Jamie Reuben have praised the Magpies for their "sensational" 2-0 win over Manchester United at St James' Park.
Eddie Howe's side moved up to third in the Premier League with victory against the Red Devils thanks to goals from Joe Willock and Callum Wilson. Having dominated the first half, it wasn't until the 65th minute before those watching on at St James' Park saw their side rewarded for their fine play.
Willock turned home from close range to take the lead before Wilson rose highest to meet a Kieran Trippier free-kick just two minutes from time and plant a superb header beyond David de Gea in goal. It was the least that Newcastle deserved after they saw their other 20 shots in the match somehow fail to find the back of the net.

As supporters headed home, there was plenty to be optimistic about given both the level of performance and the team's current standing in the table. Yet it wasn't just the fans who were revelling in the revenge they managed to exact on Erik ten Hag's side after the Carabao Cup heartbreak.
Both Ghodoussi and Rebuen were clearly delighted with the result as they could not help but wax lyrical over what they saw as a resounding victory at St James' Park.
Taking to social media, Reuben penned: "Absolutely sensational - exactly right @NUFC," while Ghodoussi added "Only one UNITED in this house."
