Newcastle United Champions League bid will be played out in front of live global audience
The Magpies saw their May 13 date away to Leeds switched to a 12.45pm kick off with the BT Sports cameras set to roll up at Elland Road for the crunch fixture. It means that after Brentford today, five of the next six Newcastle games will be beamed out around the world.
Next Saturday lunchtime's clash with Aston Villa is another BT Sports pick (12.45pm), the potential Champions League decider against Spurs on April 23 will kick off at 2pm on Sky Sports and the Thursday night trip to Everton on April 27 is also on BT (7.45pm)
The home game with Arsenal on May 7 is also on Sky Sports (4.30pm). By the time all of those games have unfolded, Newcastle's fate could well be decided.
If it's not the TV companies still have the pick of the penultimate home game against Leicester.
Steve Watson returns to join Toon backroom staff
Newcastle have brought back former fan favourite Steve Watson to work with the kids at the club's Academy.
The former full-back left Chester City as boss at the end of last season but has now teamed up to support Academy boss and old team-mate Steve Harper. Watson has a wealth of experience and as the club's youngest ever first-team debutant - playing for Jim Smith's team in 1990 at just 16 - he is an excellent mentor for the next generation at St James' Park.
